How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating press brake machinery to fabricate and assemble sheet metal components. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand tools, and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for accurate measurements.

    Responsibilities

    * Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications.

    * Fabricate components by grinding, assembling, and welding as necessary.

    * Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication.

    * Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

    * Utilise hand tools effectively for various tasks associated with metal fabrication.

    * Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

    * Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to within the working environment.

    Experience

    * Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.

    * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

    * Familiarity with tooling and its application in metal fabrication processes.

    * Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

    * Previous experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable.

    * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
