A working week could be a mix of office and site with one day working from home.
Role and Responsibilities;
• Prepare tender and contract documents for sub-contract orders.
• Undertake cost analysis.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control.
• Advise on a procurement strategy.
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
• Allocate work to subcontractors.
• Provide advice on contractual claims.
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
• Value completed work and arrange payments in line with the contract.
• Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
• Keep abreast of statutory and industry changes to ensure operations are compliant.
• Understand the health and safety regulations and implications.
• Undertake accurate CVR reporting.
• Produce procurement schedules.
• Review and agree Main Contract terms and amendments.
Skill Sets;
• A degree or professional qualification accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• Experience as a practising Quantity Surveyor with a track record of successful project completion
• Broad knowledge of the construction industry, preferably within the restoration and conservation sector
• Excellent IT and maths skills
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Ability to interact with several different clients and suppliers, communicating clearly both verbally and orally
• Strong negotiation skills

£66000.00 - £70000.00 per year
