Are you a proactive and resilient Teaching Assistant looking for a meaningful part-time role in Blackpool? Join our inclusive Year 4 team and help shape the emotional and academic success of our pupils.

The Role: Supporting Emotional Regulation & Transitions

This isn't just a general classroom role. You will be a vital anchor for Year 4 pupils who require extra guidance with social-emotional mental health (SEMH) and consistency.

A key focus of your day will be managing "bridge moments." You will guide children through school transitions moving between lessons, break times, and assemblies, ensuring they feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn.

    Your core responsibilities will include:

Providing high-quality KS2 classroom support alongside the class teacher.

Acting as a 1:1 "side-by-side" aid for pupils during periods of deregulation.

Implementing Nurture UK principles to understand behaviour as communication.

Delivering literacy support within our Read Write Inc. framework.

    About Our Blackpool Academy

Expert Team: You will work alongside a pastoral team renowned for their "go the extra mile" attitude.

Inclusive Ethos: We believe in holistic development, ensuring every child regardless of their starting point can thrive.

    Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience in behaviour management or SEN support. We are looking for:

Patience & Empathy: A deep understanding of emotional regulation and trauma-informed practice.

Consistency: The ability to provide a stable, calm presence during busy school transitions.

Adaptability: Someone who can shift fluidly from whole-class support to intensive 1:1 intervention.

Collaborative Spirit: A professional ready to work with our nurture and pastoral leads.
