Due to recently winning new contracts, our client is recruiting for an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to cover new and existing client contracts. You will be travelling across the Central Belt of Scotland, to service domestic and commercial premises, conducting the full range of asbestos surveys and analytical duties. Strong industry experience is essential as you will be expected to hit the ground running. Our client is also able to consider candidates who have surveying experience only, as they can offer training into the analytical. Salaries and benefits packages are competitive.
Locations of work include: Edinburgh, Queensferry, Gorebridge, Dalkeith, Livingston, West Calder, Bathgare, Broxburn, Linlithgow, Bo’ness, Withburn, Falkirk, Shotts, Carluke, Lanark, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Stirling, Cumbernauld, Wishaw, Blantyre, Airdrie, Bellshill, East Kilbride, Cambuslang, Giffnock, Barrhead, Paisley, Glasgow, Strathaven.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst within a UKAS accredited outfit
* Qualified with the BOHS P402, P403 and P404
* Working knowledge of HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
* Good literacy and numeracy skill level
* Comfortable using IT software
* Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
The Role:
* Conducting 4 stage clearances
* Full air monitoring duties, including: background, leak, smoke, reassurance and personal
* Carrying out management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys, in addition to re-inspection surveys
* Curating detailed reports to highlight areas of concern and recommendations
* Producing detailed schematic drawings / floorplans
* Attending removals projects of varying size and scope
* Ensuring removal works are completed in line with industry standards
* Wearing correct PPE at all times
* Working to set deadlines and personal targets
