How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CMM Operator – Quality Inspector (Night Shift)
    ***NIGHT SHIFT ONLY***
    A skilled CMM Operator / Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that manufactured components meet required engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports production by performing accurate inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
    Key Responsibilities
    *
    Carry out all duties in accordance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures, maintaining a safe and organised 5S work area.
    *
    Provide support and communication between quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve inspection or quality-related issues.
    *
    Work to inspection priorities to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
    *
    Perform first-off, in-process, subcontract, and final inspections using appropriate inspection techniques including:
    *
    Operate existing CMM inspection programs using appropriate software to verify that components meet drawing requirements, GD&T specifications, and customer standards.
    *
    Ensure correct datums, alignments, probing routines, and measurement sequences are used during inspection to achieve consistent and repeatable measurement results.
    *
    Confirm that drawings, CAD models, specifications, batch documentation, SOPs, and inspection program revisions match before starting inspections.
    *
    Validate CMM inspection results during first-off and first-article inspections, checking results against manual measurement methods where necessary.
    *
    Support the improvement and optimisation of inspection programs by providing feedback to engineering or programming teams to improve repeatability and efficiency.
    *
    Participate in quality investigations, continuous improvement activities, and risk assessment processes such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and APQP when required.
    *
    Assist with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities to verify inspection accuracy and reliability.
    *
    Ensure inspected products are free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and Foreign Object Damage, in accordance with FOD prevention procedures.
    *
    Review and interpret inspection results, identifying out-of-tolerance conditions, trends, or potential process concerns and reporting them to the appropriate departments.
    *
    Verify that inspection equipment, including CMM machines, is calibrated and suitable for use before conducting measurements.
    *
    Complete inspection documentation including batch cards, inspection reports, and quality records accurately and within required timescales.
    *
    Ensure concessions, deviation reports, and non-conformance procedures (NCR) are followed when required.
    *
    Confirm correct material traceability, ensuring approved materials and components are used and recorded correctly.
    *
    Verify that part identification markings are clear and compliant with drawing or specification requirements.
    *
    Raise Deviation Reports and Non-Conformance Reports when inspection results do not meet requirements and support follow-up investigations.
    *
    Hold and apply authorised inspection approval stamps where applicable.
    *
    Support and assist other inspectors with CMM operation and interpretation of inspection results.
    *
    Provide clear shift handovers, communicating any relevant quality issues or ongoing inspections.
    *
    Maintain professional working relationships and promote high quality standards within the inspection team.
    Experience and Skills
    *
    Previous experience working in a quality inspection or manufacturing inspection environment.
    *
    Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and interpreting measurement results.
    *
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
    *
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, defects, or measurement discrepancies.
    *
    Knowledge of common inspection tools, techniques, and quality documentation systems.
    *
    High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
    *
    Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, supporting quality and production objectives
