About the Role
Kilnbridge are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with a valid CPC ticket to join our team, specialising in the transport of general plant, specialist machinery, and abnormal loads. This is a varied and hands‑on role that requires flexibility, professionalism, and a strong customer approach.
As the HGV Class 1 Driver you will closely within a small, supportive transport team, handling a wide range of equipment while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
* HGV Transporting plant, machinery, and occasional abnormal loads
* Safe loading, securing, and unloading of equipment
* Completing daily HGV vehicle checks and defect reporting
* Working flexibly across different HGV vehicles classifications
* Providing excellent customer service on client sites
* Accurately completing all relevant paperwork
* Supporting wider team tasks as required
* Some night-out work expected (with advance notice)
What We’re Looking For
* HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
* Valid CPC ticket
* Minimum 3 years’ experience within relevant vehicle classifications
* Previous plant-based or specialist transport experience (desirable)
* Strong customer-facing skills
* Ability to work well within a small team
* Flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to varied duties
