Staff Selection UK are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing client based in Halifax. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner – Setter / Operator to join their skilled machining team on a permanent, day shift basis.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines, producing precision components to engineering drawings while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating CNC milling machines

*

Producing components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings

*

Tool changes, offsets and basic machine adjustments

*

Performing quality checks using measuring equipment

*

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

*

Working efficiently to meet production targets

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a CNC Turner Setter / Operator

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

*

Experience working with precision components

*

Knowledge of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges

*

Strong attention to detail and quality

*

Reliable and able to work independently or within a team
