Job Title: Customs Specialist

UK Staffing Group are representing our client in the search for a Customs Specialist to support the delivery and development of their customs and trade compliance services.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in customs operations, who enjoys both hands-on processing and contributing to improved systems and processes within a modern logistics and trade environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit import and export declarations using CDS and related systems.

Handle NCTS transit movements (T1/T2) and supporting documentation.

Create required ENS and port documentation where necessary.

Verify documentation including tariff classification, valuation, and customs data accuracy.

Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to resolve queries.

Work with the in-house development team to support testing and improvement of digital customs systems.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK customs regulations and procedures.

Provide technical support to internal teams and clients when required.

About You

Experience in customs operations, freight forwarding, or trade compliance.

Knowledge of import/export processes and customs systems.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Confident working with systems and collaborating across teams.
