How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer
    Walsall
    £47,327 basic
    Permanent Days – Monday to Friday
    33 Days Holiday
    Weekend Overtime Available (Paid at Premium Rates)
    Working Hours:
    Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
    Friday: 07:00 – 13:00
    Overtime is available on Saturdays and Sundays, paid at enhanced rates depending on hours worked.
    About the Company
    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established heavy industrial manufacturer specialising in the metal treatment. The company supplies treated steel products to a range of sectors including automotive, engineering, and industrial manufacturing.
    The site focuses on chemical treatment processes for steel, improving durability, hardness, and corrosion resistance to meet customer specifications. The facility operates a range of industrial equipment including heat treatment furnaces, quench systems, conveyors, and automated handling equipment.
    They are currently seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer who holds a Level 3 engineering qualification to support the reliability and performance of plant equipment across the site.

    Requirements
    *
    Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an electrically biased maintenance engineer
    *
    Level 3 engineering qualification (Electrical or Multi-skilled)
    *
    Experience within heavy industrial or manufacturing environments is advantageous

    Ability to work confidently with electrical schematics, three-phase systems, sensors, contactors, drives and control systems
    *
    Strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills
