Job Summary:
My client is seeking an experienced CNC Setter to set up multi-axis, multi-spindle CNC lathes for precision component production. The role involves NC programming, tooling selection, and use of metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities:

Set up CNC machines, verify NC programs, and select tooling and fixtures.

Interpret technical drawings to ensure precise component production.

Operate CNC machinery safely and monitor quality during production runs.

Complete first article inspection reports.
*
Perform ad-hoc maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
*
Collaborate to optimise cycle times, improve processes, and reduce waste.
*
Maintain accurate programme and production documentation.
Requirements:

Proven experience with multi-turret, twin-spindle CNC lathes with live tooling; Fanuc controls preferred.
*
Strong understanding of tooling, manual lathes, and mills.
*
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
*
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks/Fusion) and CAM software (e.g., Alphacam).
*
Strong mathematical, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Pay: £20.00–£30.00 per hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday - Day Shift - 40 per week
