KO2’s client is a well-funded, fast-growing tech start-up building intelligent, ultra-low-power sensing systems for real-world environments. Their platforms combine embedded firmware, signal processing, secure wireless connectivity, and edge ML.
They need a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership from concept to production.
What You’ll Do
* Architect and develop low-power embedded firmware (C/C++)
* Design battery-powered, remote sensing systems
* Build sensor acquisition & real-time signal processing pipelines (MEMS mics, accelerometers, environmental sensors)
* Develop RF systems (LoRa / LPWAN, mesh networking)
* Implement secure communications (encryption, authentication, secure boot, OTA)
* Deploy optimised ML models for on-device acoustic detection
You’ll work closely with hardware, data and product teams to deliver secure, robust, production-ready systems.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong embedded C/C++ expertise
* Full product lifecycle experience (concept → production)
* Proven low-power design experience
* Sensor integration & real-time processing
* RF experience (LoRa or similar)
* Mesh networking & embedded security
* Strong debugging and hardware bring-up skills
Bonus: Acoustic ML, MEMS microphone systems, noise mitigation, start-up experience.
