    About the Role:

    The Employee Relations Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing expert guidance on a range of ER matters.You’ll be responsible for managing complex employee relations cases, developing policy, ensuring compliance with employment law, and supporting our people-first approach to HR.

    Location: We are looking for a candidate who is ideally based in the Midlands region (Birmingham, Leicester area) as this role will cover our services in the midlands and south of England.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence, and conflict resolution.

    Lead or support complex casework and investigations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and employment legislation.

    Coach and support line managers to handle ER matters confidently and effectively.

    Monitor ER trends, identify risks, and develop proactive interventions to reduce ER issues.

    Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

    Support change management initiatives, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE processes.

    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and ensure best practices are followed.

    Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment across the function.

    What We're Looking For:

    Proven experience in a dedicated Employee Relations or HR Business Partner role in the health and social care/education sector

    Strong knowledge of UK employment law (or relevant regional law).

    Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations issues.

    Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.

    Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience) preferred.
