HGV/LGV Driver / Waste Operative – Macclesfield
£14.45 per hour | Full-Time | Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV/LGV Driver / Waste Operative to join a busy and reliable team in Macclesfield.
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity, with an initial 4-month temporary period and the potential to secure a permanent contract.
Role Details:

Pay Rate: £14.45 per hour

Monday to Friday
*
8:00am – 4:00pm
*
Temp to Perm (4 months initial period)
Key Responsibilities:
*
Ensuring safe operation of the vehicle at all times
* Working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 Every 3rd Sunday 06:00 - 14:00 but will get the following Friday off
* Duties will include driving a 7.5 ton vehicle round a site collecting 1100 litre wheelie bins and various other waste. And adhoc collections.
* Bringing waste back to the waste yard for sorting and bailing.
* This job is 80% manual labour and 20% driving. This role is physically demanding, you are always paired up with a second man on the wagon.

Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant paperwork

Adhering to all health & safety and compliance regulations
Requirements:
*
Valid HGV/LGV Licence
*
Valid CPC qualification
*
Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) Card
*
Previous driving experience essential
*
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
