How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Leading International Tier 1 Contractor

Our client is a globally recognised construction and development group, known for delivering complex, high-profile projects while maintaining an excellent reputation as an employer. Employee wellbeing, structured career development and sustainable delivery are embedded within the business.

With a strong UK presence and a significant footprint in London, the company delivers major landmark schemes across a broad range of sectors. Internationally, they operate at scale with multi-billion turnover and a substantial global workforce.

They are highly regarded for safety standards, sustainability performance and people development, consistently recognised across the industry for operational excellence.

    Sector Experience Includes:

    Residential | Commercial | Mixed-Use | Healthcare | Education | Defence | Infrastructure

A key differentiator is their procurement model. The majority of projects are secured through two-stage negotiation and early contractor involvement rather than high-risk competitive tendering. This ensures strong commercial control, programme certainty and a more stable, structured working environment.

The business is selective in the schemes it pursues, prioritising quality, long-term client relationships and profitable delivery over high-volume bidding.

There is also genuine international mobility within the group, with opportunities to transfer overseas for those with longer-term aspirations.

    Project:

£180M new build commercial development in Cambridge.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to required quality standards.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades and direct labour to maintain productivity and sequencing of works.

Enforce health & safety compliance, conducting inductions, toolbox talks and ensuring RAMS are adhered to.

Monitor progress against programme, identifying delays and implementing corrective actions where required.

Maintain quality control, inspections and snag management through to practical completion.

Liaise with the Project Manager, client and design team to resolve site issues and maintain clear communication throughout delivery.

    Package Overview:

Car allowance per annum (or hybrid/electric vehicle option outside London)

    Travel allowance

    Travel season ticket loan

28 days holiday (with option to purchase an additional week) Private medical insurance for employee and partner (family add-ons available)

    Professional development

Sharesave scheme with matched contribution after three years

Overall, this is a financially secure, well-structured global contractor offering strong long-term career progression, international opportunity and a high-quality project portfolio
