How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Why join?

    *

c£50k salary with strong long-term career progression

    *

    Early finish Fridays (12pm)

    *

    Excellent pension: 7% employer / 4% employee

    *

    25–28 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

    *

    Life assurance (4x salary)

    *

    Enhanced sick pay

    *

    Cycle to work scheme

    *

    Free on-site parking

    *

Wellbeing initiatives (events, free fresh fruit, more)

    What you’ll be doing:

    *

Transfer and embed best practice from the European parent site

    *

Act as the manufacturing engineering authority on the shopfloor

    *

Lead lean improvement, problem-solving, and line balancing activities

    *

Drive cost, quality, safety, and waste reduction through CI culture

    *

Provide Design for Manufacture input and manage engineering changes

    *

Create standard operations, work instructions, and balance charts

    *

    Support cross-functional project execution

    *

Ensure full compliance with EHS and quality standards

    What we’re looking for

    *

Higher-level qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering

    *

Proven success in lean, complex engineering or assembly environments

    *

Experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role

    *

Strong understanding of engineering change control

    *

    SAP planning experience (training preferred)

    *

Ability to structure BOMs from drawing through to manufacture

    *

Confident operating in complex, multi-discipline organisations

This is a pivotal hire with real influence on how the operation is built and scaled. If you want impact, visibility, and progression—this role delivers.
