Remit:
* As an Injection Moulding Setter you will be responsible for setting up injection moulding machines, including installing moulds and configuring machine settings for production runs.
* This role will suit candidates who can demonstrate experience within injection moulding manufacturing with good mould setting and processing skills looking to work on a permanent day shift.

Role:
* Setting machines and confirming accurate 1st off and inspecting last off
* To report tooling failings
* Accurately complete relevant paperwork including process change records for traceability
* The safe mounting and dismounting of injection mould tools
* The correct disposition of all waste from the moulding process
* Maximise machine utilisation & overall equipment effectiveness
* Responsible for trouble-shooting and responding to red-lights
* Support the safe and effective operation of mould shop equipment and the production of moulded components to the required standard
* Offering flexibility to cover operator duties when requested
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Full compliance with all company Standard Operations Procedures (SOP's)
* Ensure housekeeping is completed to a high standard and all tools, products, materials and waste are in their allocated position
* Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures and training and report any H&S issues to Shift Manager
Experience & Requirements:
* Experienced Technical Setter with good knowledge of engineering polymers
* Thorough knowledge of injection moulding process and moulding ancillaries
* Recognised plastics industry qualification equivalent to IMT level 2
* Experience of working with Krauss Maffei, Arburg, Engel, Haitian, Zhafir, Negri Bossi – Desirable
* Experience of continuous improvements, 5S, Six Sigma and lean working – Desirable
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
* The ability to work well and calmly under pressure
* A team player with the ability to work productively and easily with others
* The ability to build effective team relationships
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Prepared to work flexibly depending on the needs of the business
