The Role
An established and growing engineering company is looking for an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer to join their mobile service team. The role is based from the West Midlands, with occasional further travel to support key contracts and project work.
This is a varied, hands-on role working across commercial, residential, hotel, and industrial environments, offering excellent technical exposure and long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities
*
Service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems
*
Reactive and planned maintenance works
*
Occasional installation and commissioning
*
Mobile engineer duties across the Midlands and North when required
*
Diagnose system faults and carry out effective repairs
*
Complete service reports and maintain compliance standards
*
Work independently while liaising with supervisors and engineers
*
Support national projects when required

HVAC systems

Refrigeration systems

Chilled water systems
*
DX systems (VRV / VRF, splits, multi-splits)
*
Commercial & industrial refrigeration (chillers, condensers, freezers)
*
Gas-fired heating plant
*
Boilers and water heaters
*
Industrial plant and engineering environments (occasional)
Candidate Requirements
*
Proven experience as an HVAC Engineer / Refrigeration Engineer
*
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
*
Experience in commercial buildings, hotels or residential developments
*
Comfortable working as a mobile engineer
*
Full UK driving licence (essential)
*
F-Gas certification – desirable
*
Gas Safe registration – desirable but not essential
