Operations Director – Bespoke Manufacturing
Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Salary: £80,000 – £120,000 (dependent on experience)
Full-time, Site-based
A leading bespoke manufacturer is seeking an experienced Operations Director to join their senior leadership team and take full ownership of day-to-day operations. This is a newly created role with autonomy to influence culture, systems, and performance across a high-quality, low-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all operational areas: manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, shipping
*
Ensure OTIF delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards
*
Drive efficiency, cost savings and process improvements
*
Oversee ERP systems, SOP compliance and operational reporting
*
Manage site facilities and support functions (IT, HR, After-sales)
*
Implement and monitor KPIs across all operational departments
*
Support NPI delivery through coordinated operational leadership
*
Build and develop high-performing, engaged teams
*
Create succession plans and raise capability across the function
What We're Looking For
*
Proven track record as an Operations Director or senior operations leader
*
Electronics manufacturing experience is essential
*
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
*
Hands-on and commercially aware with strategic thinking
*
Comfortable managing both the day-to-day and long-term planning
*
High energy, credible, resilient, and culturally aligned to West Yorkshire operations
