Due to business growth, they are looking to appoint a dedicated Sales & Development Executive who can handle both cold and warm sales opportunities, account manage key clients, and oversee the full cycle from enquiry to onboarding new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and source new business opportunities, leveraging your own leads and those provided by the Sales and Operations teams.
* Develop new sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight, for both imports and exports.
* Prepare accurate quotations, ensuring all relevant terms and clauses are included.
* Operate flexibly, working both in-office and in the field as required.
* Bring transferable business connections to support growth (advantageous but not essential).
* Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure service excellence.
* Adapt responsibilities as needed to reflect evolving operational requirements.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight sales (sea, air, road) within a freight forwarding environment.
* Proven track record in sales and business development.
* Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Friendly, approachable, and collaborative team spirit.
Location: Tilbury, Essex
Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00
Salary: £30-37.5k + commission
