How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Locations: Nursing Homes and School Settings Across East Sussex
    Contract Type: Flexible agency work – days, nights, weekends, full‑time or part‑time
    About the Role
    Onpoint Care is a trusted and well‑established temporary staffing agency, proudly supporting nursing homes and school environments across East Sussex. We are now recruiting experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) to join our flexible team.
    If you’re a dedicated nurse who delivers safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care and you want flexibility, variety, and excellent pay this role offers the perfect balance.
    You’ll work across nursing homes and school‑based nursing roles, providing professional, reliable clinical support to children, young people, and adults with a wide range of health and care needs.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Delivering safe, effective, and person‑centred nursing care
    * Administering medication and completing clinical tasks in line with NMC standards
    * Leading shifts and supporting care teams to maintain high standards
    * Assessing, planning, and evaluating personalised care plans
    * Monitoring health needs and responding appropriately to changes
    * Maintaining accurate documentation and clinical records
    * Providing compassionate support to residents, pupils, families, and colleagues
    * Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and regulatory requirements
    Essential Requirements
    * Valid NMC registration (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)
    * Minimum 6 months UK nursing experience in a nursing home, school, or similar clinical setting
    * Strong clinical knowledge and confidence in decision‑making
    * Excellent communication and leadership skills
    * Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
    * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
    * Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
