We’re recruiting a skilled LGV Driver to support the safe and efficient collection of waste and recyclables across residential and commercial areas. You will operate a refuse collection vehicle, lead a small crew, and ensure high standards of customer service and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities

Operate a waste collection vehicle safely and efficiently
*
Lead, supervise and allocate duties to waste collection crew members
*
Carry out daily vehicle walk-around checks and complete defect reports
*
Update service information using the Bartec ‘in-cab’ system
*
Report contamination, missed collections, and service issues
*
Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, Drivers Hours, and environmental regulations
*
Perform outdoor manual handling tasks in all weather conditions
*
Record accidents/near misses and conduct dynamic risk assessments
*
Support other service areas (e.g., highways) when required
Key Requirements
*
Category C Licence
*
Valid CPC
*
Experience in waste operations or specialist vehicle handling
*
Physically fit for manual work in all weather
*
Strong teamwork and communication skills
*
Ability to supervise and support a small crew
*
Good understanding of Health & Safety and environmental practices
*
Comfortable with basic IT systems (Bartec training provided)
