Our Client is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This role covers the full product lifecycle, from concept through to end-of-life, working closely with mechanical and software teams to deliver innovative electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Capture specifications and select appropriate technologies.
* Design schematics, perform circuit simulations, and conduct reviews.
* Complete PCB layouts and peer reviews using industry-standard tools.
* Prepare technical notes, reports, and test specifications.
* Take designs through verification testing and formal qualification.
* Provide production support, including fault finding and documentation.
* Manage component obsolescence and liaise with customers and suppliers as required.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in electronic design and development.
* Proficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Altium) and circuit simulation tools.
* Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, control theory, and servo systems.
* Knowledge of EMC standards and MIL-STD 461/810 advantageous.
* Familiarity with embedded C/C++, application C++/C#, and Matlab/Simulink desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and strong mathematical ability.
* Full UK driving licence and eligibility for SC security clearance.
