How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Staplehurst, Kent
    Salary: Highly competitive DOE
    42.5 hours per week
    Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker looking for a stable, long‑term role with great development opportunities? Our client, a well‑established UK manufacturer, is expanding their production team and seeking a skilled professional to join them at their modern facility in Staplehurst.
    About the role:
    You’ll be working within a well‑equipped production environment, contributing to the fabrication and finishing of precision metal components to customer specifications. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high‑quality work and enjoys being part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
    Key responsibilities:
    • Fabricating, forming, bending and finishing fine‑limit sheet metal
    • Working on engineered assemblies using both fabricated and machined components
    • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
    • Deburring, drilling and general metal preparation
    • Participating in spot welding tasks when required
    • Producing parts to specification and quality standards
    • Supporting production output in a clean, organised and safety‑focused workshop
    Essential skills & experience:
    • Strong background in fine‑limit sheet metal work
    • Competent in fabrication techniques and working from engineering drawings
    • Skilled in drilling, deburring and spot welding
    • Experience working within an ISO9001 environment
    • TIG welding is beneficial but not essential
    Desirable experience:
    • LVD CNC press‑brake
    • Power rollers
    • Power guillotines
