How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Aviation Welders (x4)
    * £36,000 plus overtime!!
    * 10% Employer Pension Contribution
    * 27 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays!!)

    Are you an experienced aviation welder with experience in manufacturing or engineering? Are you seeking a new role that matches your career development and aspirations? Well, read on!! My client has secured a number of major manufacturing projects and have an orderbook bursting at the seams!!
    They are urgently looking to recruit aviation welders within their engineering department. (NB – The hours are 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday).
    Role Profile
    As an experienced aviation welder, this is a hands-on position responsible for the welding of aviation components. Working to tight tolerances, this position will primarily work on productionised components but should also have the flexibility to work on new product introduction.
    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
    As an experienced aviation welder, you will have:
    * Experience in fitting small diameter tubes for Orbital welding to precise tolerances.
    * Trade qualified with a recognised apprenticeship (City and Guilds etc.)
    * Undertake TIG welding (manual, automatic and Orbital) to aircraft standards to fall in line with welding controls and processes.
    * Read and interpret Engineering drawings.
    * Read, interpret and follow batch cards ensuring that batch card discipline is adhered to at all times.
    * General maintenance of machinery, jigs and fixtures is required to ensure a clean and healthy working environment.
    * Working alongside the Operational team, reduce welding non-conformances and work to best practices.
    * Assist with corrective actions and assist with route cause analysis to prevent issues from re-occurring.
    * Support business improvement initiatives.
    Person Specification
    As an experienced aviation welder, you will have:
    * Good knowledge of fusion welding, with at least five years’ experience working in the Aviation sector.
    * Experience of working with a variety of materials including exotic metals such as Nickel and Titanium based alloys.
    * Ability to work within in Team environment.
    * Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a wider team.
    * Ability to read, understand and work towards engineering drawings.
    * Ability to communicate in an effective manner to different levels within the organisation.

    The client offers the aviation welders a competitive salary of £36,000 plus overtime at time and a half, company pension, life assurance and private medical cover
