About the Role
Looking for a motivated Band 6 or 7 Occupational Therapist to join a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people with complex physical and learning disabilities. You will manage a specialist caseload, delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to support students’ independence, functional skills, and access to education.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist OT assessments and interventions
- Manage a caseload of complex needs independently
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
- Support students with:
- Functional skills
- Sensory needs
- Access to learning
- Provide training and advice to education staff
- Recommend and review specialist equipment and adaptations
- Contribute to service development, audits, and projects
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy + HCPC registration
Required Skills
- Complex disabilities
- Learning disabilities / SEND
Ability to:
- Work autonomously (Band 6 level)
- Manage a complex caseload
- Communicate with families, carers, and professionals
- Experience supervising or supporting junior staff (desirable)
