ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is delivering user-centred digital services within a high-profile public sector environment, focused on improving accessibility and usability across critical government platforms. They are committed to designing services that are simple, clear and effective for end users. Due to ongoing programme demand, they are seeking an experienced Content Designer with public sector experience to support delivery across digital services.

THE CONTENT DESIGNER ROLE
As a Content Designer, you will create clear, concise and user-focused content for government digital services. You will collaborate with user researchers, designers and developers to understand user needs and translate complex information into accessible content. The role includes conducting content audits, supporting usability testing, ensuring alignment with GOV.UK standards, and continuously improving content based on user feedback and research insights.
CONTENT DESIGNER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Active SC clearance
- Proven experience as a Content Designer within government or public sector environments
- Strong understanding of GOV.UK style guide and content design principles
- Experience working with CMS or government publishing tools
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly content
- Experience supporting or interpreting user research and usability testing
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA)
