I have worked with this client for over 20 years and due to the expansion of the team, they have an opening for a Supplier Development Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The role will be based in Stevenage and will have hybrid working.
You will bring your experience and knowledge to ensure effective Supplier performance capability and Risk Management. As a team, they work across all programmes in a changing environment, managing and implementing both mature and new technologies.
What they are looking for:-
- Ideally a degree calibre Supply Chain professional with experience of international working in high technology companies.
- Supply Chain professional with experience of International working in high technology companies.
- Experience of Supply Chain Management/Supplier Development Manager ideally within Aerospace, Defence or Manufacturing environments
- High exposure to machining including capacity and capabilities in the machining and aerospace surface treatments environment
- Demonstrate ability to improve Supplier Performance (Delivery and Quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers on a day to day basis
- Capable of carrying put capacity audits
- Conducting analysis and providing/delivering executive summaries
- Hold excellent problem solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control).
In return they offer a salary of £48-50k plus bonus and excellent benefits with hybrid working.
