How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HR Advisor – 9 Month FTC (Potential to Go Permanent)

    Pocklington

    Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 from home)

    Up to £37,000 (flexible for the right person)


    We’re partnering with a growing, values-led organisation in the care sector to find an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a fixed-term basis, with strong potential to go permanent.


    This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be at the heart of the business – supporting managers, driving best practice, and helping shape a positive, compliant and people-first culture.

    The Role


    You’ll act as the go-to for day-to-day HR support, covering everything from employee relations through to recruitment and HR admin.


    Key areas include:

    • Advising managers on HR processes, policies and best practice
    • Supporting ER casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence)
    • Managing HR admin – contracts, letters, records, data
    • Supporting safer recruitment and onboarding processes
    • Assisting with policy improvements and compliance
    • Acting as first point of contact for HR queries across the business


    It’s a true generalist role with a strong operational focus.


    What We’re Looking For


    • Proven experience in a HR Advisor or Senior HR Admin role
    • Confident handling employee relations cases
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
    • Experience with HR systems (PeopleHR or similar ideal)
    • Someone proactive, organised and approachable


    Experience within care, education, or a regulated environment would be a bonus – but not essential.
