How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maths Teacher – Sheffield

    Location: Sheffield
    Contract: Full-time, Permanent
    Start Date: September 2026
    Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

    About the Role

    PK Education are working in partnership with a secondary school in Sheffield who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position within a supportive and forward-thinking school.

    You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The role is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to begin their career in a structured and supportive environment.

    The Role

    Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons that challenge and inspire students. Supporting pupils in developing strong numeracy skills and confidence in Mathematics. Assessing and tracking student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback. Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management. Contributing to the wider Maths department and school community.

    What We’re Looking For

Strong classroom management and organisational skills. A proactive and reflective approach to teaching. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
