How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title:
    Teacher (QTS) – Primary & SEN

    Pay Rate:
    £150.00 – £210.00 per day

    Smart Education is currently recruiting Teachers (QTS) to work across a range of Primary and SEN schools in Walsall. With ongoing demand, we are offering a variety of opportunities for teachers seeking flexible work or more consistent, long-term placements.

    These roles involve teaching across different year groups, with some positions requiring experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as ASD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.

    This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to gain experience across different settings or secure a longer-term role within a supportive school environment.

    Job requirements:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    • Experience teaching within a UK school setting
    • SEN experience desirable
    • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
    • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs
    • Enhanced Child or Child/Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
    • Ability for us to obtain 24 months of recent references

    Role responsibilities:
    • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
    • Support pupils across a range of abilities and needs
    • Maintain a positive and structured learning environment
    • Work collaboratively with support staff and SEN teams
    • Monitor and assess pupil progress
