Sharmans Agricultural are looking for a Sales Demonstrator to be based at our Head Office in Grantham, NG32 2AB, but operate across our dealership area, covering Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, and Bedfordshire.
Main Responsibilities:
- Represent the dealership in the demonstration of machinery to new and existing customers for Case IH, JCB, Amazone, Krone, Bednar, Sumo and many other products.
- Maintain product knowledge on features and benefits of all products
- Assist with promotional events for the dealership
- Actively engage in the sales and marketing plan to ensure achievement of goals including a market share objective.
- Keep up to date with competitor products, monitors competitor activity along with market and industry trends.
- Responsible for ensuring the correct handover and installation procedure is adhered to for equipment delivered to customers.
- Ensure Depot Sales areas, including new and used stock, are kept clean, tidy and well organised.
- Support and engage in adhoc Group, Depot and Sales Department projects/duties.
Required skills:
- Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Training on computer systems and products will be provided
- Experience with customers in the farming and contracting industry advantageous but not essential.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written to consistently demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Conduct demonstrations individually and as part of a team using a wide range of the latest equipment including tractors, telehandlers, balers, cultivation equipment and combines.
- Build strong relationships within the dealership area
The ideal candidate would be driven and positive, self-motivated, and show initiative, with the ability to work independently and well with others, demonstrating a flexible and proactive attitude whilst able to manage multiple tasks.
The successful candidate would need to cover the core hours of 8am-5pm Monday to Friday with the ability to work extended hours during peak seasonal periods.
