How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field-Based Card Payment Specialist (Appointment based)

    Basic Salary £50,000 plus company car and OTE of £95K

    Top performers earned £200,000+ last year

    Are you a high-performing sales professional who thrives on closing deals and building strong relationships? We are working with one of the UK’s largest and most respected merchant services providers to recruit ambitious Field-Based Card Payment Specialists.

    This is a high-reward, high-autonomy role with a strong flow of pre-qualified appointments provided, alongside the opportunity to generate additional business through self-sourcing. You will take ownership of your territory, focus on face-to-face selling, and be rewarded with uncapped earnings based on performance.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Attend pre-booked, qualified appointments with small and medium-sized businesses
    • Supplement your diary through self-generated leads, including in-field prospecting and cold calling where required
    • Qualify, pitch, and close new merchant accounts independently
    • Sell modern, broadband-enabled, contactless card payment solutions with competitive, capped terminal rental pricing
    • Build and manage a strong pipeline of high-potential merchants within your territory
    • Deliver professional, consultative sales presentations tailored to each business
    • Consistently achieve weekly and monthly sales targets, typically 5+ terminals per week

    Who This Role Is For

    • A driven sales professional who enjoys closing deals, both from provided appointments and self-generated opportunities
    • Comfortable with face-to-face B2B sales and building rapport quickly
    • Experienced in field sales, B2B sales, or merchant services
    • Target-driven, organised, and resilient
    • Confident handling objections and generating referrals
    • Full UK driving licence required
    • Full training, ongoing support, and a strong product offering to help you succeed
