Location: Meadowhall, Sheffield
Hours of Work: Full time, 40hrs pw, including weekends
Salary: From £32,000 DoE

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and knowledgeable Dispensing Optician to join our team in our Meadowhall clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical products and services, providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients in selecting the right eyewear. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all optical needs are met with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions and personal style preferences.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Maintain an organised inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
- Educate clients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure accurate prescription fulfilment.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills for managing inventory and customer records.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using optical equipment and tools for fittings and adjustments.
- Must have GOC registration.
