How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Neurodevelopmental Assessor (Children & Young People)


    Location: Hybrid – In-person with some remote working – clinic location to be agreed

    Hours: Full-time preferably, flexible across weekdays - talk to us about your availability

    Contract Type: Permanent

    Salary: £42,000 - £49,000 (pro rata), depending on experience

    We are now looking for experienced Neurodevelopmental Assessors to join our growing neurodevelopmental team, contributing to the delivery of gold-standard autism assessments for children and young people.

    About this role at Held Health:


    The Neurodevelopmental Assessor at Held Health is a key role in the diagnostic assessment of autism and ADHD in children and young people under 18. They may also contribute, in partnership with colleagues, to the assessment process for other neurodivergent conditions.


    Responsibilities

    • Contributes to the diagnostic assessment of autism in children and young people.
    • Under the guidance of a Clinician, gain experience and provide advice, guidance and support to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency professionals and families of neurodivergent young people or children.
    • Under guidance, gain experience and provide tailored, evidence-based, outcome-focused time limited support to the families of neurodivergent children and young people.
    • Provides post diagnostic support
    • Supports clinical excellence in the Autism and ADHD pathways


    The Skills and experience you will need:

    • Relevant degree in professional specialism (Nursing/Allied Health Professional/Social Worker/Education)
    • Registered member of Professional body (NMC, HCPC,ECW,CCW,RCOT)
    • Post-registration qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience (minimum of 1 year) to post-graduate diploma level
    • Relevant Training e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, DIVA, ACE or equivalent
    • knowledge and experience of a range of specialist assessment and intervention tools
    • Demonstrates an understanding of National and Local Autism and ADHD policy and legislation
    • Experienced in writing neuro-affirming reports.
    • Demonstrates an understanding of the needs of autistic individuals and their families/carers/partners
    • Has insight into the changing needs of those with autism throughout childhood
    • Has knowledge of multi-agency partnership working and/or provision of multidisciplinary care/support for those with neurodivergent conditions.
    • Has knowledge of standards of record keeping


    Desirable criteria

    • Demonstrates a continued professional interest in Autism and a commitment to developing their understanding
    • Willingness to develop knowledge and experience in working with support across childhood
    • Experience of multi-agency partnership working and ability to promote multi-disciplinary/multiagency and collaborative practice with a wide range of stakeholders and partners
    • Ability and experience in developing, planning implementing and delivering a range of support packages to parents and families
    • Competence in using information gathering/reporting systems and the use of the required software
    • Experience of working with neurodivergent children and or children with Learning Disabilities or mental ill health
    • Knowledge and experience of strategies and approaches that support neurodivergent people and their families
