How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Health & Safety Advisor – Construction

    Hampshire & Isle of Wight (Hybrid + Site Travel)

    £50,000 – £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

    We’re looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our clients high-performing Capital Delivery team, someone who can influence, challenge, and elevate safety standards across complex construction projects.

    The Role


    As a key member of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping safety culture across major capital projects.


    You’ll partner with project teams on-site and in the office, ensuring compliance, driving behavioural change, and providing expert guidance on high-risk construction activities.


    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Provide expert H&S advice across capital delivery projects
    • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and H&S legislation
    • Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard identification
    • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
    • Coach and influence project managers and site teams
    • Support safe delivery of high-risk activities (e.g. Temporary works, excavations, service avoidance)
    • Monitor and report on safety performance and improvements
    • Attend design and project meetings to embed safety from the outset


    What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction or infrastructure
    • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations (2015)
    • NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent
    • IOSH membership (CertIOSH minimum – CMIOSH desirable)
    • Experience in incident investigation, audits, and site-based safety
    • Confident communicator who can challenge, influence, and coach stakeholders
    • Full UK driving licence
