    Job description

    Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in North London to appoint a dedicated and adaptable SEMH Teacher.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident delivering core subjects (English, Maths and Science) while supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

    The Role:

    Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across core subjects
    Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
    Support students with behavioural, emotional and mental health challenges
    Build positive, consistent relationships that support student progress
    Work collaboratively with support staff to create a structured and nurturing learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (essential)
    Experience teaching in an SEN, SEMH or alternative provision setting (or strong mainstream experience with behaviour needs)
    Confidence teaching across multiple core subjects
    Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
    A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
    A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learnersDesirable:
