How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    MFL Teacher

    Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for enthusiastic and skilled MFL Teacher to work with a fantastic college in Hull, on a full time, temporary basis. This is to start 13th April, and will last until at least May half term. Payment for this temporary position will be between in line with the main teaching pay scale (Between MPS1 and MPS6), based on experience and qualifications. While this is a full time teaching position, the school would consider applications from candidates who can provide part time availability.

    The College is located in East Hull, and is extremely easy to access via public transport from most areas of the city. There is a large onsite car park for candidates that do drive that has ample spaces for candidates who drive. The school has an excellent reputation in the local area and continues to go from strength to strength. They are part of a local academy trust, so success in this role could lead to further opportunities in the future.

    You will be responsible for planning and delivering KS3 MFL, with some KS4 teaching on the timetable. The school are happy to speak to either French or Spanish specialist, and can tailor the work to suit the specialism of the successful candidate. Full planning and marking is expected for this position, but there are plenty of resources on file for the successful candidate to simply review and amend.

    Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

    To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

    Has a PGCE or similar qualification
    Has experience working in schools/colleges in the UK
    Has experience teaching MFL to Key Stage 3 students
    Have experience working within schools in the UK
    Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
