How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Studies Teacher

    Stevenage

    September 2026

    M1 - M6

    We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Business Studies Teacher to join our school and make a meaningful contribution to our thriving department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A Level.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5 (A Level)

    * Plan and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners

    * Monitor, assess, and support student progress to raise attainment

    * Contribute positively to the department and wider school community

    * Maintain a well-managed, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    * Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies

    * Proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level

    * The ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons

    * Excellent classroom management skills and a professional approach

    * A clear commitment to supporting student achievement and progression

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred; however, we welcome applications from experienced unqualified teachers with demonstrable teaching success
