How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Unqualified Teacher of Maths – Secondary School (Fareham)

    Location: Fareham, Hampshire
    Start Date: April 2026 (Summer Term)
    Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (potential to become permanent)
    Pay: £140 – £200 per day (depending on experience)
    Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

    Overview

    Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher of Maths to join a welcoming and values‑driven secondary school in Fareham. This is a full‑time role starting April 2026 for the duration of the summer term, with strong potential to extend or become permanent.

    You will be delivering Maths lessons to KS3 and potentially KS4 students, working within a supportive Maths department. The school welcomes applicants who do not yet hold QTS but have experience teaching, tutoring, or supporting Maths at secondary level.

    Collaborate with colleagues across the department to support student achievement.
    Contribute to a positive, respectful, and values‑driven school culture.

    Ideal Candidate

    Experience teaching or tutoring Maths at secondary level (GCSE or KS3).
    Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
    Experience supporting diverse learners, including those with additional needs.
    A proactive and resilient approach, aligned with school values of kindness, ambition, and diligence.
    A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one.
