How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Year 6 Teacher Class Teacher.

    Start Date: April 2026

    Contract Type: Long-term, Full-Time Term time only.

    Salary: £130-£175 Depending on Qualifications and experience

    Location: Cambridge (Cambridgeshire)

    Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a well-established primary school in the Cambridge (CB25) area to recruit a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a long-term role starting after Easter and continuing until the end of the academic year.

    About the Role

    You will be working as a Year 6 class teacher, taking full responsibility for planning, preparation, and assessment of pupil progress. As SATs approach, you will also play a key role in preparing students for their end-of-year assessments. This is a full-time teaching role, with one dedicated PPA day per week, where Year 6 teachers work collaboratively to plan and prepare lessons. This supports creativity, consistency, and strong team working across the year group. You will be expected to inspire and support pupils, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and learning in a safe and positive environment.

    About the School

    The school is a well-established, Good Ofsted-rated primary school with a strong community ethos. There is a supportive SLT and clear behaviour management systems in place to help teachers focus on teaching and learning. Approximately 30 pupils per class with a Teaching assistant support in each class

    Requirements for the year 6 teacher role

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Has proven experience in Year 6 or Upper KS2
    Knows the Year 6 curriculum and SATs inside out.
    Can command a classroom while keeping pupils genuinely engaged and motivated.
    Has a track record of preparing children for end of Key Stage assessments.
    Cares deeply about building resilient, confident learners.
    Brings high expectations and an inclusive, open mindset to everything they do.
