How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Teacher (QTS) – All Year Groups

    Pay Rate:
    £150.00 – £180.00 per day

    Location:
    Nottingham & surrounding areas

    Hours:
    Full-time & Part-time | Term-Time Only
    Day-to-day, Short-term & Long-term roles available

    Smart Education is currently recruiting qualified teachers (QTS) to work across a variety of mainstream schools in Nottingham. We have a high volume of roles available, ranging from daily supply to long-term placements, across EYFS and Primary 

    Some roles will involve supporting pupils with additional needs, so SEN experience is highly desirable.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers looking for flexibility, variety, or a pathway into long-term or permanent roles.

    Job requirements:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    • Experience teaching within UK schools
    • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

    • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
    • Valid passport
    • Ability for us to obtain 24 months employer or academic references

    Role responsibilities:
    • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across your subject or key stage
    • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
    • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN
    • Follow school policies and procedures
    • Mark and assess work where required
