About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed English Lecturers to join a college in London. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators who are dedicated to supporting students in developing their English language, literacy, and communication skills.
The successful candidates will deliver engaging and effective English lessons across a range of levels, helping learners build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching in English across relevant levels (e.g., Functional Skills and/or GCSE).
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support students with varying abilities and learning needs.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and support to help learners improve.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
* Contribute to curriculum development and the creation of learning resources.
* Support students to progress into further education, training, or employment.
Requirements
* A relevant degree in English, English Language, English Literature, or a related field.
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or willingness to work towards one.
* Experience teaching English in a further education or secondary education setting is desirable.
* Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
