How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Learning Support Teacher
    Location: Crowthorne, Berkshire
    School Type: Independent Special School
    Contract: 32 weeks per year | Full-time or Part-time considered
    Age Range: 7–19 years

    About the Role

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Teacher to join our supportive and collaborative team at an independent special school in Crowthorne, Berkshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of young people with a range of moderate learning difficulties.

    You will play a key role in delivering targeted support, helping students build confidence, independence, and essential academic skills in a nurturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and study skills

    * Conduct assessments and develop personalised learning support strategies

    * Work closely with classroom teachers to support differentiation and inclusive practice

    * Monitor student progress and adapt approaches to ensure positive learning outcomes

    * Contribute to a collaborative Learning Support team, sharing insights and best practice

    About You

    We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who:

    * Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a Level 7 SENDCo qualification (or similar)

    * Have experience supporting students with dyslexia and dyscalculia

    * Are confident in assessing needs and delivering targeted interventions

    * Value a nurturing, student-centred approach

    * Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
