Milk Education are recruiting a purpose-driven and ambitious KS2 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Durham, starting after the Easter break.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to cover Year 5 initially and transition to Year 6 after SATs, supporting pupils during this critical stage of their primary education. It’s ideal for both ECTs and experienced teachers with experience in KS2, looking to make a real difference in an inclusive, high-performing school environment.
About the Role – Primary Teacher
- Teach Year 5 for the first half of the term, moving to Year 6 after SATs
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the Curriculum
- Plan and deliver SATs-focused learning and interventions
- Support pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing and pastoral needs
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with school staff to create a positive and inspiring learning environment
Essential Requirements
- QTS (or relevant UK teaching qualification)
- Recent experience in Key Stage 2 (Years 5/6)
- Proven experience supporting pupils through SATs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
