How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Teacher of A-Level Media, Film Studies & Creative Mediato join our Strode’s College team on a permanent, part time basis working on a 0.56 FTE. The role pays from T1 £17,459.72 up to £25,147.32 (T1 £31,133 up to T11 £44,098 FTE), which will be dependent on experience and qualifications.

    Please note the expected start date for this role is Thursday, 20th August 2026.

    Teacher of A Level Media, Film Studies & Creative Media

    You will teach A Level Media and Film Studies alongside vocational Creative Media, ensuring high-quality student learning through the most effective and efficient use of the College’s resources. You will be responsible for the delivery of a teaching programme that prioritizes student progression toward successful and value-added completion, including the regular assessment of progress and the preparation of detailed reports. Working effectively within the department team, you will devise and maintain innovative teaching strategies while supporting extra-mural activities and industry outreach to enhance students' career development.

    We are looking for someone who can inspire students and deliver a high standard of teaching and support, maintaining morale and discipline both inside and outside the classroom. You will play a proactive role in promoting the College’s reputation, keeping abreast of curriculum developments, and participating fully in professional development and performance management.

    We seek someone who has an appropriate degree and a teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one. You will possess Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths and have recent experience teaching A Level Media or Film Studies and vocational Creative Digital Media. You must also demonstrate a strong commitment to the principles of Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, and Data Protection.
