How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Capacity & Resource Planning

    • Analyse machine capacity, labour availability, and material flow.
    • Identify bottlenecks and collaborate with operations to optimize throughput.
    • Support long-term capacity planning initiatives.

    Compliance & Continuous Improvement

    • Ensure scheduling processes comply with AS9100 and aerospace traceability standards.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, etc.).
    • Support audits and documentation requirements as needed.

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of production scheduling experience in a similar production environment
    • Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (Kinetic), or we will consider experience with similar ERP systems
    • Strong understanding of MRP, capacity planning, and shop floor control.
    • Knowledge of aerospace quality systems (AS9100 preferred).
    • Proficiency in standard software packages including Microsoft Excel and production reporting tools.
    • Demonstrable experience in managing a stable system where the production schedule is always live, accurate and the single point of production control
    • ASCM/APICS CPIM certification (or in progress).
    • Experience scheduling CNC machining operations.
    • Familiarity with aerospace customer requirements.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • High attention to detail and data accuracy
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills
    • Proactive and results-oriented approach to production planning
