As the Head of Operations for Produce at Myton Food Group, you will provide strategic leadership across four major fresh produce manufacturing sites, driving a robust operational strategy to ensure our sites are high performing, efficient and a great place to work. Reporting directly into the Produce Director, this is a high-impact senior leadership role focussed on delivering operational excellence across our fastest growing division.
This role will require presence in Myton Head Office, and regular travel to the 4 sites (Thrapston, Rushden, Flaxby & Gadbrook).
About The Role
- Accountability for 4 produce manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency, safety, and efficiency across the operation.
- Full end-to-end P&L management for the Produce division
- Develop and execute strategic plans to optimise operational efficiency and drive business growth
- Overseeing the weekly production and despatch of 8 million+ packs across multiple product categories and 150 SKUs.
- Direct management of 4 Site Managers, overseeing a total workforce of 2500 colleagues.
- Collaborating with Trading, Retail, and Online teams to develop exciting industry leading growth plans that enhance financial performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
About you
As well as the ability to manage on a large scale you must also have...
- Proven experience as a Senior Operations professional (Site Director or Head of level), with either large single site, or multi-site responsibility in food manufacturing, ideally within Produce
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry expertise to run world class operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to create a people driven culture, with a personable approach
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- The ability to drive performance improvement and be able to think outside the box in order to come up with new innovative ideas
- The ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders right up to Executive Board level
- Expertise to align operational performance with corporate business strategy
