How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maths Teacher (KS3 & KS4) | Kendal

    Location: Kendal, Cumbria

    Pay: £168 - £240 per day

    Role: Maths Teacher / ECT Maths

    Contract: Full-Time, Temporary

    Duration: ASAP Start - End of the Academic Year (July 2026)

    The Opportunity

    Are you a Maths specialist looking to make a lasting impact in a scenic lakeside community? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a highly regarded Secondary School in Kendal.

    This role is available for an immediate start and will run through to the end of the summer term. This is a vital placement designed to provide consistent, high-quality instruction for students as they complete their end-of-year assessments and GCSE examinations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Full Teaching Cycle: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4, ensuring continuity of learning until the summer break.

    GCSE Final Sprint: Support Year 11 students through their final weeks of revision and the summer exam series, providing data-driven intervention where needed.

    End-of-Year Transition: Manage Key Stage 3 end-of-year assessments and contribute to transition planning for the upcoming academic year.

    Departmental Integration: Act as a full member of the Maths faculty, attending departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and parents' evenings.

    Requirements & Skills

    Qualifications: You must hold QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification (PGCE/BEd) with a specialism in Mathematics.

    Commitment: The ability to commit to the school until the end of July 2026 to ensure stability for the students during the exam season.

    Classroom Management: Proactive and positive behaviour management skills to maintain a focused learning environment during the busy summer term.

    Availability: As an ASAP start, an enhanced DBS on the Update Service is highly preferred to ensure a smooth handover.
