How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The School are extremely keen to hear from teachers currently completing their Business Studies Teachers training as they have structure and capacity in place to offer robust and class leading support and training.
    You will need to hold a recognised teaching qualification in the UK, to include QTS (or an appropriate overseas qualification leading to obtaining QTS)
    Confidence in your ability to plan, prepare and deliver lessons for mixed ability pupils at GCSE's
    A good team player, who has a can do attitude and sense of humour

    The role - Business Studies Teacher

    The School offer an outstanding level of support, professional development training and a progression pathway.
    ECT applications are welcome as the department has a strong track record of supporting ECT Business Studies TeachersYou will be teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 and will need to be confident in delivering GCSE to a high standard. Students and teachers alike enjoy lessons, which make for a positive and purposeful atmosphere throughout the school. This school is only looking to employ passionate educators, candidates who are prepared to fully immerse themselves in the school community, be willing to plan, prepare and deliver all lessons independently and take part in extra curricular activities.

    Many of the students choose to continue to study Business Studies at Key Stage 5 and take this onto further education. There is a high success rate of student application to Russell Group Universities.
