PK Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in a variety of welcoming primary schools throughout Sheffield. Supply teaching is a fantastic way for ECTs to gain valuable classroom experience, build confidence, and explore different school environments before committing to a permanent role.
About the Role
As an ECT working with PK Education, you will deliver engaging lessons, support pupils’ development, and gain hands-on experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2 settings.
Assignments can range from day-to-day supply to longer-term placements, giving you the flexibility to develop your skills while building strong relationships with local schools.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum
Support pupils’ learning and development across primary key stages
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Adapt quickly to different school settings and teaching styles
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion of your teacher training
A passion for primary education and supporting young learners
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A positive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two professional references covering the last two years
